FIRST RESPONDERS, VETERANS, & WOMENS
Lovesome Stables works with veterans from Joseph House in Cincinnati to provide services for the Veterans dealing with PTSD and/or chemical dependency.
Each six-week session uses the OK Corral Equine Program along with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mapping, and process groups afterward. Mapping allows the client to chart their previous path and to change their behavior by evaluating past efforts successes or failures.
Via the process group, clients discuss possible new behavior or actions. Mapping allows each individual to set forth in writing the new path they commit to beginning. As the program continues, the facilitators are able to assist each client in evaluating their new journey.
In 2019, Lovesome started a similar program for women in crisis from the Brighton Center.
